As a teacher, I aim for students to have a fun and educational experience. I strive to create a learning environment that builds musical knowledge and supports personal growth. Through learning an instrument, students develop self-discipline and a sense of responsibility. Students also learn how to think creatively, embrace challenges, and build confidence.

With beginner students, we work on building fluency in fundamental concepts like posture, rhythm, and staff reading. Once students have established a solid foundation, we focus on honing their musicianship skills. We also start working on more advanced playing techniques and increased proficiency in sight-reading. In addition, we discuss music theory and music history in the context of the student’s repertoire. My holistic approach to teaching piano ensures that students become well-rounded musicians.
